First of all- This book deserves way more than 5 stars. This book made "Quintessentially Q" look PG in comparison. After I finished this book my first thought was- Oh, what I wouldn't give to pick Devon Ashley's brain. "Nearly Broken" blew my mind but this book? Absolutely took my breath away and left me speechless. I have waited a few days to try and formulate a review that would do justice to this masterpiece but I am still in awe. Devon Ashley took suspense, angst, and devotion to a whole new level. Just when you think Rachel and Nick's relationship had been tested and brought to the brink, events unfold that will change both of them forever.Without giving too much away, both the returning characters and new ones are as necessary as the intricately woven details surrounding them. Be prepared to shut yourself away for a while because once you start this book, which yes is a bit longer than the first, you will not want to put it down until you finish it. Trust me. And every page is captivating. To say I can't wait for Book #3 is an understatement. I haven't been in this much anticipation over an upcoming release in a very long time. Disturbingly creepy how well this is written from the situations unfolding to the emotions elicited with every torturing second that passes. I couldn't wait to read this book after finishing nearly broken, I tried pacing myself knowing the next book wasn't coming until next year but I seriously got anxiety reading I had to finish immediately so I can sleep tonight. This author is no joke and had my emotions on the most terrifying rollercoaster ride of my reading life. I'm going to go watch some Disney now just to balance them out it was that good. Twisted but good.
