I hated this book. I love a good autobiography but this was just pure shit. It is obvious that Boyle is the most unreliable narrator that ever lived, and this is normally an interesting technique to use in fiction, but not a book that is packaged as an autobiography. I grew tired of trying to delve through his bullshit and I can't remember whether I even finished the book or not. If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be not to bother. I really rather enjoyed this book, and found Frankie Boyle a more sympathetic narrator than I had anticipated. He is funny, naturally, but also has a healthy, 'feet on the ground' attitude to the trappings of fame (and life generally) that I found very refreshing. He is very open about his mistakes and his self-confessed lack of any distinguishing qualities, producing a narrative that is ultimately quite touching which, knowing his brand of comedy, comes as a pleasant surprise.
Do You like book My Shit Life So Far (2009)?
I don't really like Frankie Boyle so was never really going to like his book to be fair!

This made me chuckle out loud a few times. Not for the faint-hearted!
