My Only Regret...is that I really should've stopped reading at 36%...When I first started reading this, I was like this:When I got to 36%, I was like:By the end, I was like:Let me explain.This story is about a young woman named Rhyann who indulges in a one night stand with an up-and-coming musician, Jesse, on the cusp of making it in the big time. They both go into it with their eyes wide open. they both know the score. one night. No strings. No repeats.All is well and good. They have some explosive sex and Rhyann leaves with a smile on her face.Cut to two years later, where she's a down-and-out unemployed Personal Assistant and he's a big time Rock Star and certain circumstances bring them back together, which forces them to interact on a day-to-day basis. She hadn't forgotten about him, he hasn't forgotten about her, but he is adamant that he can't offer her more than friendship. Cue in the angst.Don't get me wrong. I love this type of angst and I love the Rocker Romances. My library if full of them. When I got to 36% on my Kindle, I was a little confused. It seemed that the story had finished. I had my little HEA and if it had a short but sweet epilogue attached at the end, I would've rated this a 4.5-star for sure - but there was more, so I kept going.It went into depth into their relationships, complete with nauseatingly sweet declarations every time they "made love", obsessed fans, insecurities and giggling. I shit you not. There was a point in the book where they both giggled. I don't know about you but a Rock Star is NOT a Rock Star if he giggles.But that's all beside the point. I could've forgiven those in time but what had me literally growling out loud was this:(view spoiler)[Amber was mentioned briefly as an ex-girlfriend of Jesse's and was a potential fiance, until she broke his heart, thus starting his "no strings" rule. Jesse did say that they are currently friends, but never mentions the frequency of their interactions. The day after Jesse and Rhyann get married which was spur of the moment, Jesse announces to the crowd at a show he's performing at that he's a happily married man and Amber "coincidentally" must have been present during the announcement, because after the show Rhyann catches them alone together in a room, witnessing Amber seducing Jesse with her hand in his pants trying convince him to leave his new bride for her - and she doesn't hide her animosity towards Rhyann in front of Jesse either. Rhyann, having some trust issues is understandably upset and it instigates their first fight.This is not the last time that they fight about Amber. Jesse insists that they are only friends and that he only loves Rhyann and blah blah blah - I get it. There is a point in the book where Rhyann discovers that Jesse and Amber have been texting each other without her knowledge. When she finds out she chucks a na na and leaves Jesse on the eve of a mini tour. She disappears, Jesse tries to run after her, but whatever, he is fed up of her insecurities over his "friendship" with Amber and expects Rhyann to trust Jesse as a faithful husband that he is.Now. If MY husband was still in contact with his ex-girlfriend, I would trust him with everything in myself that he would remain faithful. But if that said ex-girlfriend had made an advance towards my husband, trying to get him back and convince him to leave me and it was witnessed with my own eyes - all bets are off, bitch. It would NO WAY IN HELL be okay with me for them to still be in frequent contact with each other when one had an agenda. And in this instance, Jesse is WAY out of line to expect Rhyann to be okay with the two of them to be still chatting and meeting up, when the other woman doesn't respect his marriage or his wife. Trust issues or not that shit is wrong. The fact that both Jesse and even her BEST FRIEND think that Rhyann overreacted just pissed me the hell off. There is also the part where Jesse almost cheats on Rhyann with Amber when he's all upset and pissed off at Rhyann.. yeah I'm not touching that one. My head will explode. But apparently, Rhyann doesn't even bat an eyelash about that news. I guess she thinks that she has no right to be upset.. whatever. (hide spoiler)]

Well for Rhyann, Jesse Montgomery was supposed to just be a one-night stand, just someone to get her mind off her crappy job and a harassing boss. He was someone to let loose with for one night and she was ok with that. But who can resist a hot guy who can sing a rock song then melt your heart with a sweet ballad? For Jesse, having a different girl every night after a show was not unheard of, in fact it was expected. But Rhyann would change that for him. She may be the one, the one to settle him down and change his rock star ways. The problem with rock star boyfriends is that their ex-girlfriends come back to haunt them and men don’t always do the right things with the right people when they are hurting. While reading this story I was practically yelling at Rhyann: “What are you thinking moving in with him?” and “watch out girl you can’t trust him!” Only in fairytales do rock stars actually settle down with a normal girl right? While I was reading, I just kept waiting for the bottom to drop out and Jesse’s true colors to shine. How had I personally reached so low that I was basically daring the man to be the stereotypical love’em and leave’em rocker? I mean rock stars don’t actually profess their love to the same girl that many times right? I’m always a sucker for an emotional drama but I do really pray for happy endings. Lucky for me, the author knew just how to keep me on my toes. I really enjoyed this book. I felt for Rhyann as a woman and the jealousy and trust issues that she had to deal with. It was clear Jesse and Rhyann had chemistry and it made for some hot scenes! Definitely one to add to your to be read list! I would definitely recommend this book! I can’t wait to see what happens in the next one!

This book has everything that you would want in a great read.And the sex is HOT. Rhyann Michaels is an administrative assistant who has a crappy boss who keeps making advances towards her and her dating life is nonexistent.Her best friend Mel talks her into going to a club to see this hot band and have a one night stand.In walks Jesse, as soon as they see each other time stands still and their connection is off the charts and what Jesse says to Rhyann will blow your socks off among other things. She gives into Jesse and has an amazing evening that she can’t forget even after two years.Two years later, Ryhann finds herself jobless and on the doorstep of a Rock Star looking for an assistant. She can’t believe her eyes when he answers the door. Can Ryhann keep her feelings at bay or will she reconnect with Jesse? Can she help him change?“Don’t you dare fu$$ing leave me again. I need you. I love you. I can’t live my life without you.” This was my first book from Rhonda James and I loved it. This is definately a 1-click buy and a series to be reading. There were so many elements to this story that kept you engaged. There are several twists and shockers. And I loved when Ryhann would stand up for herself with the groupies.
