I would introduce this to a class that was studying famous people. Alexander pretends to be that of many famous and influential people throughout the day and at the end of the book it describes each person and their contributions. This book was completely different from what I thought it would be about because I thought it would be about a confused boy. The story is about a boy named Alexander who had a huge imagination and was really smart because he knew characteristics of each famous person he pretended to become. I really enjoyed reading about this boy who took on six different roles throughout the day. I am so happy the father was understanding about his son's imagination because many parents would become annoyed. I loved that this book had information in the back of it about the people mentioned in the story.
Might be an interesting way to introduce children to men who changed the world.
