One of the best light reading in "Hindustani English" that can be finished in one reading. Throughout the book the humor had been kept alive, even with impressive success in the earlier part of the book however it tends to be monotonous by the middle of the book. The end part has become more philosophical and introspective but element of humor unlike in the early part of the book has remained sub-standard or hackneyed. Overall the author has remained true to the its First Person Character Abir Ganguley and in this light the usage of humor is very well fitting throughout. But all work of art these days I think need to get to a higher level beyond the characters if it has to be seriously entertaining one. Nonetheless a commendable work as a debut novel. Hi All ... Did I actually read the book and survive a heartattack ...okay!!! I dint get the heart attack and i am still alive and kicking ...But I did manage to read till the end!!!!!! phewwwww!!!!yes!... this is the tone and the words u would find in most places throughtout the novel ... Seriously.. I dont want to sound rude..but if there was a half * i would give that as well ... i wouldnt say the book was a time waste ... but it was like a wild goose chase ... it neither solved the mystery ... nor was it very entertaining ... and there was no lizard named Sancho which the main reason I bought the book :D ... Well !! If you really wanna gift your enemy something...give him this book ... :) ciao' for now ...
