This book makes me long for more from these characters and to see what the outcome is going to be of their relationship and everything else going on in the storyline. Lisa Renee Jones writes so well to keep you wondering and guessing at what is going to happen!! I love reading her books and this is another one for her that I am loving. Mark is such an AlphaMale that you wonder which direction that Crystal is going to go with him. I can not wait to read the rest of their story in I Belong to You!! Thanks Lisa for keeping us on our toes!! Lisa Renee Jones has truly hit her stride in the INSIDE OUT series with this latest entry, MY CONTROL. Miss Jones has made very effective use of novellas, and this one is her best, to develop her key characters and illuminate their personalities. We finally learn just enough about Mark Compton to be able to validate the emotional investment the reader makes in his character. I was very glad to learn what Mark fears, why he mistreated Rebecca, and what his motivation is for the way he vacillates in his relationship with Crystal, both pulling her in and pushing her away. A major accomplishment of this novella is the successful use of multiple points of view. Alternating between Mark and Crystal's viewpoints, the reader is given just the right amount of insight to be positioned perfectly for the next novel, I BELONG TO YOU, due to publish 11/28/14. MY CONTROL offers a fascinating look at the internal struggle and emotional turmoil which cause Mark to lose the control which has always been essential to him. I highly recommend this brief but pivotal story, available in e-format only at this time, as a precursor to reading I BELONG TO YOU. I personally cannot wait for the relationship pyrotechnics which are sure to follow Mark and Crystal!
