My Boyfriend Bites by Dan Jolley is the third volume in "My Boyfriend is a Monster". So far, we've had zombies and monsters created by Frankenstein's Monster and now, we have a Were-bat. This was my least favourite volume of the series, but the story was still enjoyable enough for fans of both Twilight and Buffy the Vampire Slayer to find enjoyment.Fans of Twilight will love the hot were-bat "boyfriend" and fans of Buffy will love that the main character is a kick-butt descendant of Van Helsing who comes into her powers and knowledge of her destiny while saving her English teacher from a pack of rogue vampires who want to kill him.The best part of this whole series is that each volume is a stand-alone story, even though they are given numbers in sequential order. This is the 3rd entry into the "My Boyfriend is a Monster" graphic novel series. This is not as good, in my opinion, as the previous two entries. The main character has a bit of a habit of finding the worst boyfriends and trying to improve them. The Juvenile Delinquent, The Smart Cheat, The Fat Slob, and now she's met the super hot janitor at the community college where he sister just started. He's nice, he seems into her too, only on their first date all sorts of things go wrong and he saves her, but there is no way a normal guy can do what he did. So she follows him one night after he gets off work. What she (and her best friend) see scares them both. Next thing you know the town has a huge vampire problem. Although I liked the main characters most of the time, the only person I really liked (without being bugged by something they said/did) in the story was her best friend.
