About book MWF Seeking BFF: My Yearlong Search For A New Best Friend (2011)
So I've never had a lot of girlfriends. And society tells me I'm wrong for that. Not that I give a crap about that, but occasionally I feel like I might be missing something. I happened upon this book while browsing vacation reads in my library's ebook selection. It was good vacation reading, light and easy to get through. Unfortunately I didn't really like the author or relate to her at all. However she did have some great ideas about how to go about meeting people, and some a little out there. She did reference a few other books that piqued my interest and saved off for looking into later. This is okay for a light read, but I think some of her references might dig more into the psychology of the matter which is more of interest to me. Initially, I found the voice actress read too quickly and her high-pitched voice was mildly irritating. Being that I also moved to a new major metropolitan area three years ago, I can identify with her situation. I especially appreciate all the research she refers to in her book, very interesting. Her recollections of all 52 dates was also interesting, but sometimes a bit much. Overall, I enjoyed the book, and would definitely read another tome from this author.
