Cute is the first word that popped into my head after reading this. It was cute but not really much of a mystery book. Yes a person was murdered but Raelynn doesn't necessarily solve the case like most cozy mysteries so much as has the murderer screw up and get themselves caught for sheer stupidity. Raelynn was a cute character and very likable and the plot lagged a bit in places, but overall a fun read. I cannot believe that someone(s) rated this book 4 stars! I found it frothy, saccharine, and inconsequential. The characters are rather much stock--yes, around here we have had meth labs--and the plot mostly predictable. Of course, the handsome sheriff--don't you love how he is described every time as gorgeous, etc.--is going to fall for Raelynn, the ex wife of his best friend who is apparently a real jerk. If I hadn't been asked to review it for Barnes & Noble, I would have deserted it. I did give it a nicer review for them.
