This is one of the most horrible life stories I've ever read! Not sure I've ever finished a book this fast. I had to know how her life turned out. truly amazing she survived all those traumatic experiences. I hated her Dad with a passion but, I think my hatred for her mother was worse. I can't ever imagine a mother allowing this to happen to her own child. It sickens me how many evil/sick/twisted people are out there. I had to rate this book a 5 since I need to applaud Lisa James for finally having the strength and determination to get justice! I read this book when I was about 11 years old I think. Maybe 12? Either way I'd say I was particularly young to be reading a book that dealt with such strong themes. I think it deserves no rating really because you can't really put a rating on a non-fiction book you know? I mean it really happened. Over all, I think this is definitely a heavier read but it boggles me how these things actually happen and worse...
