About book Multiplícate: Discípulos Haciendo Discípulos (2012)
For a book with disciples in the title, it has surprisingly little on the topic of actual disciple-making. Since I was expecting a book on disciple-making, I found this book to be very frustrating. It would be better to have a title more along the lines of what it is about, namely, an introduction to the Bible. It is a very basic book on Bible introduction and barely scratches the surface. There are also several theological leanings away from my core theological beliefs. I would not recommend this book. Eims's book, The Lost Art of Disciple Making, is a much better read on disciple making. Definiely read that one if you are looking for a guide to the disciple making process. Multiply falls far short of its own title. This book is one I will keep on my shelf for reference in the future. It would make a great followup conversation with a new brother or sister. I have enjoyed the connection between the old and new testaments through this book and I have been walking for years. I would also say this book is designed to be read with someone else not on your own. I had a couple of people reading with me but that stopped about half way in. It was definitely more fulfilling when reading with other people to hear what they have to say and to learn new things.
