This was one of those stories that I couldn't put down, but there were a lot of things that bothered me. Like how unbelievably selfish and immature the main character was. So what if your parents gave you a cerfew? Doesn't mean you should run away for 8 weeks without so much as an email. And how convenient that she was such a wonderful singer. Even better than the actual lead singer. I was unaware Rock Band sets the bar for excellence. I also think there were a lot of missed moments on the tour bus where we could have had more character development between Casey and the other band members. Or even just with Blake. I couldn't help but love Blake's character but I feel like he was left a little flat. Maybe I would have liked this better if it was longer and I could have had more time to grow attached to each character. My complaints aside, I will for sure be reading the next one because like I said, I could not put it down. Just because I had complaints doesn't mean it wasn't fun :) Eh, this was an OK read.Nothing too special about it, and it's a quick read. This is one of those books that you just breeze through, and don't really remember anything significant about it afterwards. No major conflicts or climaxes either.I found the main character to be way too childish for her age. She's about to college, yet she decides to run away. OK, I get that you run away, but she's so irresponsible. The parents don't seem to take anything seriously either even though they make threats like cutting off college money, but no actions are really taken. Parents don't just not care about their children, and she didn't even call them... she had her friend call them. Who does that? I found the characters to be quite flat.Eh, there were some parts that were cute, but if you think about it...it's sort of creepy. What if it wasn't a famous band member that came up to you and is like - hey, I'll pay for your coffee. Come with me on my band tour. Yeeeaaah, a lot of things could have gone wrong there, realistically. So, yeah, it definitely wasn't realistic most of the time. Even though the main character is headed towards college, I think this book is targeted for younger children.
