A light, fun read, starting a series centred about a zoo/fun park with its mascot Monty the Meercat! Simples!!Finn, who plays Monty, sees a lost girl at the end of a long hot shift. Whilst taking her to first aid and a meeting piunt, he is tackled by her distraught father Aiden - and then arrested!I can see there will be lots chances for fun and games as Finn and Aiden get through their disastrous first meeting, apologies, etc. a fun start. I'm rating this having been told this is only part of a serial. I won't be reading the rest of the serial until it's finished because a) I don't have enough patience or attention span to read a WIP, and b) I'm pissed off that I bought this without the author or publisher allowing me to make an informed decision about buying part of a serial. rant: I think this is the nastiest way to sell books - taking what is a novella length story and feeding it to the readers one 'chapter' at a time, thus making probably double the cash you would have made by selling the story as a complete novella/novel. This type of rip off is one reason people go looking for freeshares. /rantHaving said that, it's a cute story so far and I'm actually satisfied with the way this ended. I think it's enough of a complete story that I'm not annoyed about waiting until it's done to read the rest (or if I even bother to read the rest).
