About book Moby-Duck: The True Story Of 28,800 Bath Toys Lost At Sea And Of The Beachcombers, Oceanographers, Environmentalists, And Fools, Including The Author, Who Went In Search Of Them (2011)

Moby-Duck is a non-fiction book that was hard to get into at first, but got more interesting later on. it provided a lot of facts about the causes of over board spills of items such as bath toys and shoes and how they helped scientists on the pattern of waves. this might not have been my favorite book, but it still provided a lot of cool facts about the ocean, weather patterns etc... The book was also a good, real adventure read about how tiny rubber ducks can help the awareness of the patterns of the ocean. If a life is to amount to something, this may as well be the crowning achievement: traveling round the planet in search of several thousand rubber ducks (and other critters) lost at sea. In his travels, the author is unwavering in his determination to find out exactly what happened to these ducks, and he finds the answers more complex that he ever imagined. It was a wordy book, often tangential about things which are relevant but not necessarily interesting. I suppose it's not the sort of work that needs to be interesting throughout, but I did feel my eyes glazing over at some points. It was pretty well written overall, and I enjoyed it!

Interesting, but a bit lengthy for the topic.
