I picked up this book from the library for a quick, light, fluffly read to get my mind off of my A&P class. This was not what I expected. It felt that it dragged on and on and on. Every plot device that has been used in a romance series felt that it was thrown in here. I really wanted to like the book if only to get my mind off my real life and not have to feel angst but alas, this is not the book I wanted. I did finish it but I felt very unsatisfied. Charlotte rushes to her sisters aid, leaving her dull life and cats in the country. It doesn´t take long before she realizes she´s been tricked to help her leave her mistress life to elope with another man. Charlotte reluctantly agrees to stay and greet the Master of the house when he returns from his trip. Micheal returns from his grandmothers funeral to finally start his life with his new mistress. And now all kinds of trouble and missunderstanding starts.A lot of developments, when you think you know what´ll happen, something new appears, both of their reactions feels juvenile and unexpected. I´m not to big on people screaming and blowing up, but i guess someone must be? An OK read where you don´t get the HEA until the last pages. 3,5 Stars

There was a lot of non-consensual sex in this book. Not a fan!
