About book Miss Delacourt Has Her Day (2011)

I love regency romances, and this one is perfect. It is book two in a series. I like the author and her style of writing is perfect for regency romance novels. I wish the stories were a little longer, but I still really enjoyed the book. I love that Miss Delacourt takes her future in her own hands when things are not moving fast enough for her future plans, and at times it makes you laugh out loud. There is no steamy sex, or vilent serial killers..just old fashioned romance..... This was AMAZING!! I probably prefer the first one, because it is all about the courtship of the lovely Sir Anthony and Ginny, this sequel is still wonderful and a great read!! With some of the original characters making another appearance, as well as some unwelcome new additions, it all adds to making this a Wonderful book with an interesting story!! When Sir Anthony's Uncle, the Duke of Marcross, hears of his sons attachment to a certain Miss Delacourt, he calls Anthony to him as he is not the least bit pleased with his choice of bride, now that Anthony's cousin has died, leaving Sir Anthony the next heir to the duchy, making him the next Lord Crenshaw! And Ginny was not considered good enough to be a duchess!! So, the scheming uncle sets a number of impossible tasks for Anthony to accomplish if he is to have his blessing and marry his beloved Ginny! So, whist trying to fathom out his uncle's real motives for his strange behaviour, working out how to accomplish these impossible tasks set for him to do, as well as facing the disapproval of his choice of bride from many, and importantly from his mother and when a past love, Lady Derby, comes onto the scene, recently widowed and not without the hope to marry again, poor Anthony is trying to care for his Ginny and persuade her that he will conquer it all and that he will marry her, although it is looking doubtful! So I leave you in suspense of boxing matching and bruised hands, fainting maidens, dances with the wrong ladies, mud covered coats, drowning boys and rooms covered all over with torn up fabric and thousands of cushion feathers!
