What a unique setting--a cruise ship to Antartica! Of course she had me at pirates, even if they weren't the swashbuckling, hero version. Ms. Fredrick strikes a good balance between action and romance. My only complaint? I wish this story had been longer and taken time to expand more of the setting, action, and romance. However, that wish didn't diminish my enjoyment of the story. I flew through the pages. NOTE: I read this book as part of 3 suspense stories combined in one package and written by three different authors. The set is called In Harm's Way and was a value buy on Amazon. Norah Wilson and Trish Milburn are the other two authors. This review is for Midnight Sun only. Contemporary romance with lots of Pirate action on a cruise ship to Antarctica. Miss Brylie Winston is a cute redheaded chef that is has been working the Antartica cruise ship (where her fater is Captine) for a few years, so this year should be like all the others, except the night before it begins she finds herself having the best sweet sexy time with a stranger that she met at a bar. Something that she would never do, but there is always an exception to the rule and she is a bit desperate after a 18 month sex-less run. Mr. Marcus Devlin is the fellow that shares that fun sexy time, but before he can run out on he one night stand... Brylie beats him to it and sneaks away while he is sleeping for her father's ship. One thing leads to another when then find each other on the Antartica cruise, but before anything can develop in the usual way... Pirates attack. There is a lot of violence and gun play so don't read this if you can't handle the terrible side of human nature, but it was well written and kept me interested until the end. Well written and edited which I would recommend to the kindle freebie addicts.224 pages and kindle freebie2 and half stars
Do You like book Midnight Sun (2000)?
Way to cheesy for me. Not sure I will give this author another go or not.
