About book Menn Som Hater Kvinner Tegneserieroman For Voksne - Del 1 (2012)
I confess to not having read the novel, and at this point, I'm not sure that I will. I tried to keep away from the story as long as I could, so that I could be surprised when I read the novel, but the hype around the movie sucked me in, and I saw it. So far, the graphic novel has drawn me in better than the movie could have. Lisbeth is very well drawn (most of the time), though a couple of times, I found myself wondering if I was looking at her (slight changes from frame to frame). I have to agree with some other posters about Mikael, though - he is very poorly drawn. Come to think of it, all of the men are.I am looking forward to reading the second comic. Can't wait to see if it is as compelling as this one. Well, I had to read it, although I should have read the book first. Or finished all the movies. But I'll get to that as well. Anyway, without having read the book yet the story still seems rather weak and shortened, quite expected from a graphic adaption of a full length book. The illustrations are fair enough but not very good compared to other books. And the Swedish edition cover is horrible, and I really should have gone for the English edition after all. Too late for that now.

Really good, definitely suggest watching the movie first, however, because the book starts off slow.
