I was so concerned that this was going to turn into a predictable saga of girl on girl hate and slut shaming but EVERY TIME I THOUGHT IT WOULD DO SO IT DIDN'T and ultimately this is a book about girls sticking together and defending each other. There's a pretty important perspective of misogynistic rape culture which made me uncomfortable (primarily because it's genuine, I've experienced it first hand) but I liked every single female character in this book. The males are inconsequential. I thought this book would be extremely annoying judging from the beginning (it is extremely young adult oriented), but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the novel. It's an easy read and I read most of it in a period of a few hours. However, I was disappointed because the description made it seem like it was focused on a girl having hypochondria, but that plot line seems like a minor plot line in comparison to the rest of the books. Overall, I recommend this book, especially to those who like to read young adult fiction.
