I would call myself neither novice nor expert in the realm of steamy fiction novels and I'll tell you what ladies...this is one for the books (haha no pun intended). Seriously though, this book grabbed me and held on tight. I finished it in 6 or so hours. No I'm not bragging. But as soon as I finished the book, I just sat still for a moment, stunned, trying to fully grasp how much time had passed since I had started reading. And that aside, when I pick up a romance novel, particularly of the fantasy variety, I tend more towards vampire novels. This concept of people who can shift into an animal was a new one for me. And I would like to commend the author on her ability to make the reader constantly aware of this animalistic side of the characters and yet make it feel totally natural. I believed the realism of the animal behavior as much as that of the more human actions of the characters. Bottom Line: Read this book now. Thank me later. :)
