Two worlds, one contain us and the other containing them — sort of. If all the magical people stayed on the other side, Maggie would have nothing to do but visit her mother and worry about her missing father. The thing is that creatures can travel between. The legal portals are regulated. Maggie can make the illegal type. Chasing down vampires and ghouls leads her to a partnership with a smoking hot elf and unpaid quest to save the worlds.I recommend this to anyone who likes a feisty female hero who doesn’t always get it right. Maggie MacKay took after her dad. Together they killed vamps and those from either here or Over There that needed to be killed. When her dad disappeared and was assumed dead, Killian and her mom (a Seer) moved to the Other Side to live. Maggie earns her living by tracking down creatures she is assigned and turning them in - dead or alive - for the bounty. There are established portals between the worlds, but the walls between the worlds are weakening. So not a good thing, and then the Elf hired her services. Killian wants her help. The adventures they have in both worlds makes up this book. An interesting story, world, and varied characters made this a fun read. I'd be happy to read more about Maggie. She is a strong and resourceful female lead character.

Funny book. Rather childish except for the language.
