Star Rating:I rated this book 4 stars because I have read it over and over again since I was ten. Plot Summary:Yasaman, Katie-Rose, Camilla, and Violet are four girls who meet up when they are all in 5th grade together. They all fight their own personal battles, like Camilla, often called Milla, is unhappy with her friendships. They are mean, popular girls, named Quinn and "Medusa," Violet's mom is in a mental facility and moved to town to be closer to where she is with her father. Yasaman is unpopular and very shy, as well as being Muslim, which forces her to wear a head scarf. She has a website, but nothing to put on it, since she has no friends. Katie-Rose knows Milla from summer camp, and Quinn and "Medusa," think that she is an idiot. Katie-Rose is best friends with a boy named Max, who Milla secretly has a crush on. All of the girls meet at school, where they all start molding into friends. First, they crash into each other in the hallway, and then meet each other in class. Camilla loses her special turtle, Violet finds it and doesn't know what to do with it. She hides it in the couch. "Medusa," creates lots of controversy when she finds the turtle and hides it in Katie-Rose's backpack. The group creates the "Luv Ya Bunches," website, and then pulls a big trick on Medusa and Quinn at the ice cream social at the end of the year. The four girls are now best friends. :)Main Charcters:Camilla- has "two moms," (hey, its a kid book), is very stylish, smartViolet Rose- bff is Max, a boy, loves her camera and recording videos, ChineseYasaman- Muslim, religious, strict parents, computer whizViolet- African-American, mom is put away in a facility a month before the book began, lonely before the book begins, hard-working fatherKey Issues:1. Luv ya Bunchesby Lauren MyracleLiterary fiction335 pagesThursday May 9, 2013 This book is different than other books that i read. In the book, there are four fifth graders that are mainly focused. They are Violet, Katie-Rose, Yasaman, and Milla(the popular girl). Every chapter has different point of view form a person out of the four. The thing that is different about this book is that it shows the four people IM conversations and veiws from a camera that katie-rose uses. I rated this book four because this book was awsome. It was written in a different style that i never saw. I would reccomend this book for people that like chatting and emailing your friends. It is really fun to know what they are chatting about. Please read this book it is so cool.
