This graphic novel is full of excitement. Children will enjoy reading this page turner. The book was in black and white but full of life. Children will enjoy reading this book because they can relate to what the students thin of their school staff. Many students wonder about the “cafeteria lady’s” and what they are like outside of school. This is a great fiction story to get students curiosity rolling. I like how the story is told from the point of view of the students and school staff. The book will be very easy for students to read. It is about a trio of friends who are determined to find out what the lunch lady does when she does not serving lunch. They follow her one day after school and find out that she secretly fights crime. This book could be used in the classroom to help students who struggle with reading. There's not a lot of words, is easy to follow, and is entertaining enough to catch their attention and encourage them to read. I am not a fan of graphic novels, but they definitely are a good sources to help encourage students to read.
