Read this book with my 7 year-old daughter as part of her participation in a Kids Jr. Book Club through our local library. We took turns reading it. Silly story about an obnoxious girl who insists on getting a brontosaurus for her birthday-only to learn that her fate takes an unexpected twist when she tries to claim him as her pet. My daughter gave it 5 stars and her favorite part=the various endings. Well-known children's literature author and artist. Good book for kids to read in grades 1-3 maybe 4. Good read aloud too. Nolie checked this out on Oione's recommendation (well, really Liz's), and at first I was put off by the brattiness of Lulu. My boys take books in and put on characters for days, it seems. But I loved the author's playfulness and the way she would break through with her own commentary (I think I liked that part much more than Nolan did). It was a short read, very funny, and Nolan LOVED finishing a real chapter book so quickly.
Do You like book Lulu And The Brontosaurus (2010)?
Read this with my 3 boys last night--ages 3-8. They all loved it. I liked the refreshing style.

Meh. Too obnoxious for my tastes. Read this with my 5-year-old.
