CCOOKIE CUTTER!!First let me say that I am not a big fan of Menage. Luca and Samatha's relationship just didn't feel sexy or romantic. Bk 1 and Bk 2 just seem to be cookie cutter stories. Bits and Pieces of other PR stories I have previously read. Their is no real character development or world building as I call it. The Vampires in the story are nothing special or unique. They are in New Orleans but I didn't feel like I was in New Orleans. The story could have taken place in lots of cities in the South. I wanted to like Immortals of New Orleans series but so far the stories miss the mark for me. I got this ebook when it was free on Amazon. I would recommend you wait for it to be free again or see if you can get it on loan. More of the same...Broody, stoic alpha male, human sex/love-starved damsel in distress, cocky side-kick and evil female bad girl promptly put in her place. I read this series all out of order but it makes no difference as they can be read as stand alone. Seeing that the plot is the same and only the character names change, you can easily read one and be done. I didn't hate it, but I didn't like it either. It fell in the just okay category for me. A way to pass the time. What drew me to the series? The covers and the titles! Put a sexy male torso on the cover of a book and that lures me in every time!
