The story is written well. It just fell flat for me. I mean the beginning opens with us hearing how much Gillian loves Logan. Then two months later she realized Jake fits. I liked the ages of the characters and the characters themselves were pretty enjoyable. I just didn't get swept away. In a way everything was forced. Logan caused everything to happen and it seemed everything else just fell into a beautiful easy pace. The last twist of the book was solely placed for shock value and didn't impress me so it dropped my rating. However, I guess it served it's purpose because Logan finally realized what a douche he was and how his actions affected others This is book is packed with powerful emotions. The author builds an amazing group of characters whose personalities and beliefs create a engaging dynamic. You want to know them, you feel their joys and suffer their pains. Usually an author wants to hear that the reader couldn't put the book down. I chose to put it down now and again to spend time thinking about the story, process what was going on and am glad I did. I'm glad I spent the time savoring what this talented writer had to offer.
This was a great book. It held my attention from the beginning. I couldn't put it down. Loved it!!!
