I really enjoyed this new adult book.I loved how it wasn't your typical new adult book. This was told in two points of views and I loved these two main characters. The idea of having the two main characters that had a tragic past to them and heal each other in the end was beautiful.I also loved how it wasn't instant love because it made it better that way.I loved the side characters too. Luke and Lily have really great friends. I can't wait to read the second one!!! The story begins with Lily catching her fiancé cheating on her with her sister. Lily leaves Seattle to begin a new life. She moves to an apartment and meets Luke and Sam her new neighbors. The story is told in Lily's POV and Luke's POV. Lily and Luke share similar issues of hiding behind the pain from their past and don't want to let new people in.Lily is helping Luke come out of his shell and he is helping her come out of hers.I like this statement from the story, what's more perfect than two broken people trying to heal each other.I need her in ways I did not understand, I love this statement from the story.Luke is such a dream. What a gentleman. Luke is the ideal man. Luke listens, he is patient, he is caring, he is loving, he cooks, he is good with children, he is good looking, and he loves his family. That was some shocking news. I did expect that piece of information. Wow!The sweet bond between Charley and Lily made me cry. To have two people who can connect with each other, share a similar pain, and help each other heal s precious. My eyes just popped out of my head when Lily started yelling at Luke and then called him Johnny. Basically, insinuating that he too spends too much time away from her.Well here's another situation where Lily and Adam have a similar situation where Johnnie made promises to her and always broke them and now she is seeking therapy to fix it. Lily warns Adam to not do the same with Charley.
