I cannot get enough of this series! I normally don't do zombie books cause the whole thing can really be over or under done and not seem realistic. Plus I'm just not in love with zombies like the rest of the world seems to be, but to each their own I guess. So when I read the synopsis for the first one I was only thinking it was something a little different to try. I got the first one for free yesterday, yes yesterday haha! And in half a day I have read all four, cause I literally could not put them down! The characters are easy to fall into, hold your attention, and be swept away by. I think the best part is the writing style. I love sarcastic comedy mixed with love interest and drama with action all thrown into the mix. This series has all that and more! All I can say is keep them coming, cause I'm hooked line and sinker! Now on to check out more books by Higginson! I think I've found a new fav author! This story is in Haley's point of view - and I LOVED it!!I didn't know how I was going to feel, not being able to read about Reagan and Hendrix - and having to jump into a Haley/Nelson thing... But ugh... It was amazing!Haley is such a unique girl. I didn't realize what really makes her tick. She is a totally different person that I thought she was.And Nelson... whoa... Nelson. Obviously he is a Parker brother, and is amazing by default... But holy hell!!! That boy is DAMN HOT! A freaking sweet to top it off! Ugh, I love him. I don't know if I'll be able to willingly go back to a Reagan/Hendrix storyline.. (oh, who am I kidding - I can't wait to get back to that!!)The Haley/Nelson scenes in this story were... a.m.a.z.i.n.g. I mean... Good Lord! I'll give you a hint - we FINALLY get some kissing scenes - which... holy hell... I mean... Holy Hell... Yeah, that's all I can say. One more time for good measure. HOLY HELL!!Another part of the story that I loved what they finally got a little break from fighting zombies. But didn't get a break from life. Instead of fighting zombies, they are fighting to save a family member - and oh.. it just breaks my heart!! And the end?! The unknown of it all.... UGH! I just... UGH!! Episode 5 can seriously not come soon enough!!!
