I hate the title of this book. I understand why, but it shields a brilliant story well written. The characters were great, story line spot on. It was interesting and kept up the pace all the way to the end.I really liked the description of the disintegration of a marriage. It felt pretty realistic. The change in perception about what you think your marriage is about. Also the challenges of running a small business. The writer was sympathic when writing as a teenager, as well as an adult. Exploring and not fully resolving Mother Daughter relationships felt realistic. No one can ever resolve their issues, guilt and communication challenges with their Mum, and this was respected in the story.A couple of the fringe characters could have done with more depth. Also wish she hadn't slept with her husband the last time. It weakened the character, and didn't help to understand them any better.Great read. Probably 3.5 stars. It just started so incredibly slow that it took me forever to get into it, which is kind of a bummer because it is such a long book at over 500 pages. I spent the first 200 pages thinking 'how can I not even be halfway through this.' It did get more interesting about half way into the book and I enjoyed it more through the end, which I liked, although I thought it was very predictable.
Do You like book Love Always (2011)?
This book was ok. Kind of long and drawn out. I am going to try some of her other books.
