About book Louder Than Love (2013)

3.5I think I rated up for the nostalgia of the music since Kat is my age and would have had special memories to the same songs of the decade I was feeling my own teenage angst. It made me smile. As far as the actual story, that had been recommended as a similar book to "How To Kill A Rock Star", it left me a little disappointed. It was slow at times with mundane daily tasks, but my big pet peeve of 'convenient miscommunication', had me shaking my head. As with most love stories, all is forgiven too quickly than what would be realistically believable in the real world. When I saw this book on my recommendations list on Amazon, I read the description, decided against it, and then went back to it about a hundred times. I'm not sure why, but I kept wondering if I really did want to read it. I had just finished a book about the famous actor and normal girl falling in love, and I wasn't really interested in the whole "girl gets thrown into the whirlwind world of celebrity" thing again. But I decided to give it a chance...and I am so so happy I did. This is a beautiful story about love, loss, and redemption. And yeah, Adrian (swoon, Adrian, swoon) is a washed up 80s heavy metal rockstar with Manhattan-sized baggage, but Kat has her issues too. They're both trying to rebuild their lives after knock outs, and watching them do it together is just...incredibly moving. This isn't a story about two twenty-somethings with petty dramas and wild accusations. It's a story about two adults, looking for something in a cruel world that has taken almost everything from them. The story is told beautifully, and you won't be able to put it down. I know I couldn't.I adored Kat and Adrian, but Abbey (Road) just made the story. A precocious little girl with an inquisitive mind and a penchant for cats...you can't help but adore her! And to watch her with Adrian...I almost enjoyed their interaction more than Adrian and Kat's (almost!).The only thing holding me back from giving 5 stars (please Goodreads, help a girl out and give us half star options) are a few editing errors. I noticed a few, and there were times when the story awkwardly jumped, but I think it was more of something had to be cut in the editing process and things weren't ironed out. Otherwise, read this book. You will love it. You will not be able to put it down. And you will be desperate for a sequel.

Do You like book Louder Than Love (2013)?

Really liked this. This one has a more chick lit vibe than romance to me though.
