I actually really enjoyed this book. It had everything; great drama, suspense, murder, mayhem and not to mention gorgeous men with accents and lets not forget time travel. I thought this book might be good upon starting the pages but it turned out to be better than I expected. I knew going in this was a series but I really wasn't on the hook for the next installment until the very end.. So now I am a little sick and really need to read the next book. Of course like many other people I have a list a mile long of books I have been trying to read so book two may have to wait. This is a book I would definitely recommend. This story is so lame and badly plotted, it's laughable. Evelyn is a college student, really? She couldn't think her way out of a paper bag!!! And ah she is writing a thesis on gender studies, really? Sam is ok . Piper is like Evelyn stupid!! Didn't see enough of Lackland, for it to matter. The fake piper or Lady Daria was evil, and murderous fit no good reason.The other characters were negligible to the story.
