I liked parts of this book and could have really loved it, but for some really annoying bits.1. One of the recurring themes was "biscuits" now this book is set in England with clearly English characters and the only biscuit that the English refer to is a sweet hard food item of a variety of styles that is great dunked in your tea closely resembling an American cookie. But the author in the book was clearly referring to the American style Biscuits which closely resemble the English scone.It may seem a little thing but when the author makes a large theme of the book referring to it at least 10 times it was extremely jarring and made you think the author was just lazy to not do the most basic research. In the end I found it so irritating I had to physically change the word biscuit to scone before I could finish reading the book. 2. The HH was a bit of a supper hero that pushed the boundaries of reality a little bit I could live with it but it did induce a couple of eye rolls. Still he was definitely the best part of the book.3. The author seemed to obsess on little things like the hh tilting her head to the side it got to the point I wondered if she had a twitch.4. And finally the love scenes, The author did a great job building up the sexual tension that you truly couldn't wait for the two to finally get together, but what a disappointment I wasn't even sure that they had actually consummated anything it was so vague I had to re read it to make sure. The way the author was so obsessed with other details and the way the HH was about touching in the book it was just really out of place and quite odd.So final verdict the book was better once I fixed the "Biscuit" issue and the HH character was lovely but I just felt it had the potential to be a great book for the keeper shelf and it was just let down. I love this book! I think I'm a big fan of Anne Mallory now. I'm so glad I was able to buy this through amazon in seconds. This one is going under my "read again" bookshelf. Phoebe is such an admirable character and I wish I could be more like her. I wish they had more physical interaction though and more Phoebe perspective. I find it a bit strange that the book is written mostly under Andreas's POV.
