As I'm writing this, I'm currently taking a Young Adult Lit class in uni. Obviously, as it was an assigned reading, I hesitated reading it because of preconceptions I had about books assigned to me not being ones I like, but I'm almost always proven wrong. Especially with this one. It's a beautiful work of art. As soon as I opened it I couldn't put it down. I'd recommend it to everybody, but it's a tough one to get through. I found myself relating to Megan, the character who this story follows, in many different ways. I had that wanderlust, and still do, I just never did anything about it. She's inspiring to read about. Loved the book. I can't wait to read more by Kelly and Wood. I fairly like books that focus on realistic characters and their difficulties with social integration. Megan is the result of a unstructured family. During several short stories, we follow her adrift in the world, in her search for a place to call home. The need to belong is visible in every human being. And I think this book shows that search.I really liked the story, and I'm very appreciative of this art work. I recommend it.
