when I first started reading this it took me awhile to get into it and then after a few pages I didn't want to put it down. I like that this book has so many characters and plots so the adventure in the read get's more exciting for the reader . I like how Tamsin didn't get her power right away it made is suspenseful and made me wonder what was going to happen because she comes from a long line of witches and she was supposed to join them. I love this book it has a sinister plot and it also has a little bit of romance involved and when a story changes the plot it gives it a twist this was a page turner and I recommend it to anyone looking for a twist in a story I checked this one out through the NC Digital library one afternoon while waiting on another book to come in. It was ok. Nothing spectacular and probably not one I would order for my school. I like the premise behind it, a girl who doesn't quite fit in with her family. After reading the Beautiful Creatures Series by Kami Garcia and The Wicca Series by Cate Tiernan, this book just feels like I've read it before.
A nice read, though not very surprising story.
