Pali is a wedding planner, who seems to be the only one concerned about a disappearing bridesmaid. For some reason, she is the one that's in the middle of things... not the bride & groom. The cops don't take anything she says seriously, and her sometimes boyfriend is absolutely no help. This is a prime example of why some books are free. This could have been a good book, if any of the main characters had a brain in their head. Instead, I was just reading to have the story over with, and then nothing was resolved. I know having a series is important ($$$), but give me some tied up ends! I enjoyed JoAnn Bassett's first two books (one is a romance, the other is the first book in this series) so I was happy to find a second installment in the Pali Moon series.I love this character. She is quirky and sometimes even a bit snarky (in her own thoughts, which she mostly keeps to herself). But she also has a kind heart and a curious mind that won't let go when someone she knows is in trouble. This time, however, she's bitten off more than she can handle.I feel that Ms. Bassett is improving as an author with this story and I look forward to her next book.
