I think I might be in love with Brandon Stanton. At least as in love as you can be with someone you have never and most likely will never meet. I love his creativity with how he takes his photos, and after watching countless videos about his technique, I love how he can instantly make people comfortable enough to spill their life story to him. Although that didn't come across in this book due to it being about kids, I didn't enjoy it any less. The writing was so cute and the kids were even cuter. Just like with Brandon's first book, Humans of New York, I can definitely see myself coming back to this numerous times in the future just to look at the photos. It only lost one star because I miss the deep life stories that usually go hand in hand with Brandon's photos. The text is dumb. Ignore the text. The pictures are amazing. So many different children. All dressed up differently, showing different personalities, lifestyles, and religions. Very interesting and cool if you have or know a child who likes to 'people watch' and make up stories about other people's lives.By the famous photographer Brandon Stanton, who does "Humans of New York." (blog and book) The photographs are of real life children doing real things. For this alone, it has value - no catalog models here!Side note: There is a lot of Batman (costumes/make-up/t-shirts) in the book and I'm wondering if Batman is still going to be relevant in another 100 years or if this is going to seem weird.
