If this book hadn't been a free Kindle download, I'd want my money back. Truthfully, I was expecting a novel, not a short story and it is a very short, short story -- more of an outline -- to set up a future trilogy of stories about the recovery of the town that is central to this, uh, outline.Unfortunately, I don't care about the trilogy because there was simply not enough substance to the book, the characters, or the setting, to make me want to read a book series that features any of it. Normally, I'm a huge fan of Stephanie Bond, but this is a phoned-in outline that she should've never allower her publicist to put out there as a teaser.
