I felt smart when I knew what the quote was from.I'll be honest, I may have marked this down because I found out the author is writing a trilogy. I can see where there is more story to tell, but I also felt that the story ended well at the end of the book. I guess there were a couple dangling plot lines and characters that disappeared, so it will be good to wrap everything up. I think she could have done it in one book, though.Oh well.It's well worth reading. I think it's more high school level than YA, but that's my estimation.Good book! The premise of Libyrinth is wonderful, and the plot is good one, but the execution of certain parts is... iffy. This is problem I've found in a lot of young adult fiction: a good idea, but it doesn't pan-out. The lengthy physical description, endless warming up of the plot, and over-sexualized and awkward insertion of a queer characters (seemingly done simply to be controversial) were rather tiresome. However, the book did well at at least trying to off-put the stereotypical, good guy/bad guy caricatures, though it was almost lost, being dumbed-down for a younger set.And I can't say I was a fan of the space-ship-thing at the the end. Overall, it was a mediocre book, that I would probably just suggest it for middle-school readers (Though, be warned, there are boobs. Might want to look out for that if you're easily intimidated by anatomy).
