I have such a love/hate relationship with this one. While I loved the plot it just felt like some parts kept dragging on. I know this was a 2nd love chance but I didn't feel it from Lex and Lu. It felt like they were more at odds with it each. They never went on dates or anything. Yes there was sex but that was it. I was thinking the 2nd half was going to give us more. But nope it really didn't yes we got answers but that was it. At times I wanted to punch Lex and Lu in face they both had me so frustrated. I'm have my fingers crossed that we get more from them. We need to see them really working as a family. Overall i think this book was definitely a 4.5 stars book.Lex comes back home to a tragedy and meets his long lost young love again. The twist in the tale is revealed quite early so the rest of the book is basically about them dealing with it, reacting and the final finale. The writing flowed really well and at no point of time did I feel like pause my reading. Even though the book was narrated from a third person's POV I think you can clearly see what is going on in each person's mind and it was well balanced so I think that was really good. If everything was so good then why 4.5 and not 5. The story was very close to reality for the most part but there was this one truth that I found a little too much to digest and did not really feel real to me.Lex's brother Pete and Willa were good support system and I loved reading about them too. I think at some time I would love to read their story and probably revisit this story from their perspective.
