About book L'egoismo è Inutile: Elogio Della Gentilezza (2014)

I love the profound message of this book. Anyone can read the hard copy or online in 15 minutes. I can't remember where I heard about it but when I did, it immediately caught my attention. Favorite quote:"Find our what makes you kinder, what opens you up and brings out the most loving, generous, and unafraid version of you and go after those things as if nothing else matters. Because, actually nothing else does."My first introduction to this great truth is in the scriptures. 2 Nephi 26:30 is one example....."and except they should have charity, they were nothing".....Kindness/love/charity is the only way to follow the Savior. All other attributes and commandments fall into place with the pure love of Christ. nothing wrong with it, just not much here. Commencement speech in which he apparently bypassed the temptation to make faux-insider connect-with-the-young-people references to Twitter or to DC metro escalator repair problems. Instead he zeroed in on the advice to try to be kind to people rather than focus exclusively on competing, getting yours, etc. Livened it up with a couple vivid anecdotes from his own life in which he thought he'd come up short in this department.tiny pages (half of them artwork), big print, didn't time myself but maybe a 6 to 8 minute read. should do well as a stocking stuffer -- otherwise my fear for the author's royalties is that people will finish it while standing in the checkout line at Barnes and Noble and not buy it after all
