About book Learning To Trust (2000)

I purchased this after a re-release of the series event. As I started reading I quit worrying about event because I was so caught up in the story. I loved the way that the main male character had to gain her trust, but was the first one to betray that trust. Deep down she really trusts him because in a moment of life or death she turns to him. This book was wonderful for beginners in the bedroom and was working up to more when the book ended. Now I have to have the next one to read this weekend. Great job on the suspense and amazing story line. I really wanted to give this book a higher rating; but I just couldn't. After everything Laurel had been through I had trouble understanding why she would instantly trust a guy like Garret who was super controlling and used terminology which made him seem like a stalker/control freak. The whole book just seemed a little too 50 Shades of Grey for me to really enjoy it. Another problem I had with the book was the issues revolving around the low blood sugar levels. As a type 1 diabetic myself, I just found it very unbelievable and wished the author had done some more research before writing it.
