This graphic novel is the latest in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen books by Alan Moore. I wasn't as fond of this one as the earlier books. It features Capt Nemo's daughter, trying to live up to Nemo's reputation and visiting the Antarctic to follow a previous Nemo voyage. All in all, I think Moore dialed this story in. It didn't really add anything to the previous books and seemed more of a filler than anything. Ok read, but not my favourite. This addition to the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen series is not great. It is largely a ponderous retread of HP Lovecraft's At The Mountains of Madness, which left me thinking I would much rather re-read that or else read a straight comics adaptation of it. The fact that I did not recognise many of the characters that the creators had brought into this did not help; subsequent research suggests that there are good reasons why these minor characters are not household names.
Bit of Verne, a whole lot of Lovecraft, and Alan Moore. Excellent combination.

I liked it a lot, but I wish it had been longer.
