The book Winter's End is very good. There is just enough detail and curves thrown at you to keep you interested. I really like love stories, so this book having some of that plus mystery/ thriller makes me want to not stop reading it. This is a book that I hate to finish because I keep wishing the story would continue on. This book is the perfect mix of fantasy, thriller, and romance. I really enjoyed this book and is one of my favorite books I've ever read. I think that the book starts out a little confusing so I thought I would explain it. The main character Helen goes to an all girls boarding school that is right next to an all boys one. The schools allow no contact between the guys and girls. The kids are not allowed to leave except to visit their counselors, and even when they do they have to travel in pairs and if they are late coming back a girl (or guy)is put in the sky which is basically a prison cell until the girls (or guys) get back, if they ever do come back. If people try to escape half human half dogs chase them done and usually kill them in what is called The Hunt. To get to the counselors they just have to travel across the town and they can only visit their counselor five times a year. A counselor is basically someone to talk to and get comfort from that's not in the school and nothing said will go back to the officials there. The counselors usually don't have husbands and kids but sometimes they do. They mostly just cook meals and talk to the kids. I thought the book was really good because it kept you guessing and it was very action packed. It was easy to connect to characters and the book was written very well . If you're a fan of the Maze Runner or Variant than this book is for you!
