This was a really great book, not your typical zombie book at all! The characters are so likable and well developed, it really feels like Stony becomes one of your own family members. There are some tense moments, but always enjoyable comic relief in places where you wouldn't expect them. Overall I really enjoyed this story, it was a multi-decade spanning survival story with supporting themes of the love and support of family and friends. I would recommend this book to anyone! This book was so great. I finished it in two days. And I loved it. Stony was just an overall beautiful character Daryl Gregory did such a great job telling Stony's journey and tell his readers about his life. As I read I found the Zombie's to be so compassionate, loving, and caring in this novel. I personally haven't read any books about Zombies and this was my first. I'm so glad that I picked it up and gave it a chance because I loved this story so much along with all the characters.
