This book is well-written but hard to connect to. Kim, the heroine, never quite made sense to me. I felt as if I entered her life and never had enough understanding of her past to make sense of her. Vince is more accessible in part because he is showcased against several close longterm relationships. The suspense part of the novel ends both abruptly and too open-endedly. I am interested in the next heroine, however, and did connect with several of the characters enough to want to read more about them. Not quite a 4 but a good read with grown up people doing grown up things and being grown up emotionally. With the flavour of the month in Romxotica being Motorcycle Clubs it is nice to have some of the more interesting elements (hot guys, hot machines, wind in the hair, anti authoritarian) without the overbearingly macho culture complete with Club whores and bitch fights. The plus is an unsolved murder - yet to be solved.I will have to read the next book if only to find out what the gallon of bleach was for...

Laid it down / DNF at end of first chapter. Can't connect with either h nor H.
