I'm not a huge fan of the Death on Demand series but they make for enjoyable reads. Max and Annie get caught up in a series of murders that all seem to lead back to the director of Haven. But why would Jean kill two kids? The police don't even believe that those deaths are murders much less connected to the murder of a well-known community benefactor. It turns out that said community benefactor wasn't such a nice guy and that Jean was only one of several people with reasons to kill Booth. But it definitely seems that Haven is the centerpiece. If Max and Annie can't uncover the truth, Jean might go to prison. And if they can, someone else just might die. Decently, though not brilliantly, narrated, the story moved quickly with a very satisfying denouement. Harper Collins PublishersISBN 978-0-06-145309-0Annie, Max’s wife, owns a mystery bookstore called Death on Demand. At first, she’s not comfortable with Max taking Jean as a client. But that changed with the death of a young member from the Haven and the death of one of the Haven’s directors with Jean being the police’s number one suspect.( just a little teaser)This is the first of her Death on Demand books that I have had a chance to read and I have to say I loved it . Carolyn Hart holds you in suspense until the end. She gives little clues throughout the book allowing you to guess at who the killer really is. In fact, she actually had me believing that the killer was one person and it ended up not being that person. I LOVE how Carolyn Hart leads you to believe one thing and it is another I LOVE those kinds of books~! Read Laughed ‘Til He Died and find out for yourself what this book is all about I KNOW you will not be disappointed.I rate this book 4 of 5 starsPlease check out Harper Collins to see other books they have to offer
Can you say "police harassment?" Feels out of place in a Death on Demand mystery.
