This is one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking books I've ever read, and it's definitely going to my all time favourites. Whoever doesn't have a Wattpad account should make one just to read this.If I had to be honest, I'd say it kind of reminds me of A Walk to Remember. Only reversed, and much, much shorter. At the same time, it's so much more different than Sparks' book. This is the only spoiler I'm going to give, because I believe people just won't get into the book if they know what's going to happen. Anyway, if I had to choose between not reading it and sparing myself the sadness, or reading it and crying myself to sleep because it was just so heart-wrenching, I think I'd still go for the latter. In twenty-one pages, Late Summer Rain taught me too many lessons to name. I'd recommend this short story to everyone who's up for shedding a few tears every now and then. x *SPOILERS* Late Summer Rain is a short romance tragedy story that was published on a site called Wattpad by the user AubreyEatsHearts. It starts off with a curious and adventurous tomboy named Dannielle (Dannie) who befriends a boy named Ryan who fell all the way down to the bottom of the social ladder because he shunned his popular friends. One day Ryan shows her a list that has "to fall in love" scribbled on it, which she finds peculiar. After they get let out from school and onto summer break, they hang out as much as possible and slowly, they find themselves falling in love with each other. One day, they confess their love with each other and very quickly after this sweet moment, she discovers that he has deadly terminal brain cancer. Dannie visits him in the hospital and Ryan confesses that he was going to die soon and that he never meant to hurt her. She asks him if he could go through chemotherapy to prolong his life, but he declines and says that he's ready to die because he has no regrets and he has fulfilled his bucket list (the list they read together at the beginning of their friendship). They spend the last moments of his life together and while they're at a carnival at the very top of a ferris wheel, he dies in her Dannie's arms. I discovered this book while I was surfing on Wattpad for romance stories and decided to read it because of it's high ratings. I finished this book because well, not finishing this without it eating at you is impossible. I completed this story all in one day because AubreyEatsHearts wrote it in such a manner that I couldn't stop. Also, this book was short and had me on my toes, making it really easy to finish. I recommend this story to anyone who enjoys tragedy and romance, and especially my friends so we can gush and rave about it together. I also would recommend this to anybody who have trouble finishing a book because this story is short and very interesting.
