About book Late, Late At Night (2010)

You never know what is going on in someone's life, and this book is an example of that. I saw Rick in concert in 1982, sat (rather stood) on the front row. He was a star, both rock and TV, yet his heart was full of pain and his head was full of self-doubt. His honest account of his life, told in this book, provides a deep insight into what he was going through. I appreciate his writing this, and I pray that it gave him some peace and closure on the past. If you were/are a Rick Springfield fan, you may be shocked at his brutal honesty but this book will really give you a new appreciation for his determination to become a good husband and father. I also gained a huge respect for his wife. Her heart was broken many times, yet she continued loving him. I hope that they are happy today and that Rick has been free of the "demons" that followed him for so many years. I have always loved Rick Springfield....since I was 14! I was never a viewer of General Hospital and never knew him from that, just his music. His songwriting is a gift, I don't know how he does it! Now he has written his autobiography which I couldn't wait to get my hands on, and it did not let me down. Raw, sometimes hard to ready about my favorite teen idol, but sincere and shows his vulnerability. This will be one of those I read time and again!

I love love love Rick as an artist. But as a man hes the same as the majority....an asshole.

Interesting, honest and forthcoming. Self-indulgent and too much bad language.
—Kez

Made me think much less of him. The lack of humility is sickening.

interesting read, but maybe TMI about his affairs?
