About book L'amour, Mode D'emploi (2011)

First of all, I think this book is not for everybody, specially young adult. Indeed, I was nearly shocked by the sex scenes that are in this book. I'm sure I wouldn't have read it if I had knew what it was all about before starting it. But appart this, I think that this book has others inconveniences :- I tought Madd was pretty empty as a one of the protagonists, contrary to Rich who I thought much more interessant as a character because he is different from the others but he does'nt bother about it- the story itself is in the same time long and empty, despite the fact that they only learnt to know each other since a few weeks- when I was halfway through the book, I thought this story cute, and then ... starting from the day in the old grange to the end of the book, it's only about one thing : sexe. Exept the intervention of Madd in Grace's problems with a random guy, which is by the way a total psychopath with every girl he mets, the last half of the story contains a lot of crude and explicite scenes(too too too much explicite scenes for teenagers to my point of view).Anyway, I know this book wasn't for me and for anybody of my age but maybe people with an older look would enjoy this story, which should be classified as a new adult book much more than a young adult book. Ok, here it goes.Mad was kind of odd. Not the good kind but the odd kind of odd, if that makes sense.Rich was another kind of problem. But I've got news for you sweetie, you're not in love with Grace, probably just a crush.Writing drove me absolutely crazy, I'm a big fan of dialogue but not this much. And I know that teenagers are mostly driven by their hormones and they moslty think about sex, but there are not that much talk about sex. We've all been there, there was a time we all were 17. So,we know what it feels like.
