About book Lamento. Im Bann Der Feenkönigin (2009)

This book had me a little baffled as to where it was going, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the story. A little before halfway through the book, I couldn't put it down. It's rare for books to do that for me, especially as of late thanks to my schedule. But I was able to finish this within 3 days. That's about 4 hours each day or less. I didn't actually count. But still, a quick and fun read. Can't wait to read the sequel! As a teen getting tired of real life and responsibilities, I read YA books to escape reality. Although this book has supernatural elements, I wasn't "blown away" by the plot. The setting was mostly under the atmosphere of everyday life. It was boring, frustrating, and overbearing.I wanted to cry while reading this in class. Luke could have been that hot bad-boy assassin I always fawn over (shoutout to Daemon Black and Valek). I REALLY wanted to like him. However,a flute-playing assassin does not mix in very well. He has no sense of humor and calls Dee "pretty girl." I always cringe at that. The only people who have ever called me "pretty girl" are my grandpa's friends. Luke isn't a charismatic character and there is no aspect of "WOW SEXY" in his physical appearance. Dee pissed the hell out of me. She was that submissive girl who was "pretty" but unpopular. Does that even happen in real life? We've had enough of those annoying girls in YA books. Girls with those personas degrade the views of real-life teenage girls. We can fend for ourselves and we don't need a guy to be our saving grace. We have friends and we love to party. So authors! Please stop writing about weak female antagonists. I'm all for women's rights and love girl characters who are badass.

Do You like book Lamento. Im Bann Der Feenkönigin (2009)?

I usually love Maggie's work but this one was rushed and not as good as her other series.
